Understanding BioCarbon
Evergreen BioCarbon is an organic material, derived from renewable raw materials,
that has simple but incredibly powerful properties. Also referred to as "BioChar,"
its general uses are two fold.
1. Soil improvement
BioCarbon can be used as a catalyst in soil to promote growth and vitality of beneficial soil biology. When added to soil, it sustains healthy nutrients, stabilizes soil chemistry and increases soil fertility.
The amendment increases plant availability of macro nutrients (NPK) found in most fertilizers, and stores and releases micro nutrients, such as zinc and magnesium, to plant roots. Shrub, trees, turf, flowers, and crops benefit greatly from this soil addition.
2. Bio filtration
The second general use that BioCarbon offers
is that it acts as a filter of harmful contaminants.
Recent research has proven that BioCarbon reduces, transforms, or removes contaminants such as heavy metals, hydrocarbons such as oil and gasoline, excessive pesticides, coliform bacteria, and other impurities.
BioCarbon binds contaminants from soil and water.
